Reviewer Recognition

At the Journal of Sport Science & Innovation (JOSSI), we deeply value the contributions of our peer reviewers. Their critical insights, time, and expertise form the foundation of scholarly publishing and ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of the research we publish.

To formally acknowledge and support the academic service of our reviewers, JOSSI is integrated with the Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service (formerly known as Publons). This partnership allows reviewers to receive verified recognition for their review activities in a secure and confidential manner.

Upon completing a review, reviewers are given the option to opt in to have their review recognized by Web of Science. This recognition includes:

·       Verified reviewer records visible on their Web of Science profile,

·       Inclusion of their review contributions in academic and professional evaluations,

·       Enhanced visibility and academic reputation within their field,

·       Contribution to metrics used by institutions and funding bodies to assess service contributions.

Participation is entirely optional. Reviewers who prefer not to be listed can simply decline the opt-in option, and in all cases, the double-anonymous peer review process of JOSSI ensures the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers.

We are committed to fostering a culture of academic service and transparency and are proud to support our reviewers in gaining the professional acknowledgment they deserve. Through this initiative, we aim to promote scholarly engagement and build a more robust academic community.
